More about Ginger
I’ve just recently turned thirty, born and raised in the South, currently living near downtown Denver and working in Corporate Communications for a Fortune 500 kidney care company. I guess you could say, I’ve come a long way.
I think my Southern roots are something I will carry with me always – my enduring love of gravy, constant laughter, appreciation of long chats with good friends, speaking with little accent, but refusing to get rid of “y’all” and “fixin’ to,” desire to romp through fields, at times, and the list goes on and on.
I love city life, though. Nothing makes me happier than being able to walk to work, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and friends’ houses. I love the diversity that a city brings – the people, food, thoughts, goals, things to do, etc. Not to mention an international airport! Denver makes me happy, but my nomadic-self isn’t sure whether or not this is where I’ll hang my hat at the end of it all.
Other than that, I am truly a social media nerd. I love geeking out with friends about technology and attending the never-ending array of social media/tech events in Denver and Boulder. I am a long-time volunteer of Ignite Boulder and have been known to be the official tweeter at the event.
That being said, you can connect with me on Twitter at @gpelz.
